SEL Book Recommendations

They are recommended in partnership with the Barrington School Foundation in supporting the school district’s SEL goals this year. Get Your Library Card!

Children may get their very own library card when they enter kindergarten. They will receive a bookmark about being a good library citizen and a great big WELCOME from our staff!

Parents please read the Privacy Law Brochure before signing your child up for a card.

Join us for Wee Read! Storytime

Children 1-3 years old and a parent/caregiver, will enjoy this lap-sit session with books, music, rhymes, simple concepts and various activities with Ms. Wendy. Library story times help develop social, emotional and language skills.

See our online calendar and search for the day you want to register for. We hold a Fall Session, Winter Session, and Spring Session and typically have one or two days each week that you can choose from. In the summer we only hold Wee Read! one day a week for the 8-week session. Registration is required for all sessions.

*Registration requires a library card. If you do not have a library card yet, but would like to register for this event, please come by the Library with your photo ID and proof of residency (if your Barrington address is not on your ID). Signing up for a library card takes just a couple minutes.

All Ages Drop-In Event

Free play for children is encouraged to expand their imaginations!

Creations will be displayed in the Library if space allows.

Do You Go to BES?

We can deliver your reserved books to your school!

Reserve your books online through the catalog with your library card and add in the note section that you would like your items sent to BES. They get delivered every week on Friday!

Items to Check Out

Puppets

Take a puppet home to help tell your little ones a story, or take a few and put on an entire show! Puppets get checked out for a three-week borrowing period.

Telescope

The NH Astronomical Society donated a telescope which families can borrow to view the night sky!

A free book program for children birth to age five. This program is co-sponsored by the Barrington School Foundation.
